7 Valentine's Day Date Ideas For You and Your Pets
Forget about all the overwhelmed restaurant reservations and overpriced flowers, let's make time for the one that loves you unconditionally instead. You and your pets, and maybe your partner (optional), can enjoy the most romantic day of the year with the following Valentine’s day date ideas.
1. Take A Hike
If you don’t have to work on Valentine's Day, let’s make it a refreshing day. Prepare everything needed for you and your pet, pick the nearby forest or hills and spend all day together with your pets in the nature. Don’t forget to wear comfortable shoes and bring plenty of water for you and your pets.
You can decide to wear or leash for your pets or not. If your pets listen to your command well, then let them free. Roses are red, sky is blue, and dogs love running.
2. Indulge in Puppuccinos and Cappuccino
Spending coffee time with your pets is also a lovely activity to do on Valentine’s Day. Puppuccinos is a secret menu of Starbucks voted as one of the best drinks by dogs and dog owners in the U.S.
You can also take your pets to other outdoor coffee stores. A lot of coffee shops that don’t serve food are welcome pets. It’s a good time to relax, watch people on the street and enjoy you guys’ favorite drinks.
3. Sunbath On The Beach
Walking on the beach may sound cliché, but it’s Valentine’s Day, and your pets love it, so why not? Plus, the weather in February in some southern states is pretty nice already. It’s a perfect chance to get some fresh sunbathe after a long winter staying indoors.
But if the weather isn’t on your side, you might take a rain check to spring. And we still have several other options to do on this day.
4. Have A Road Trip
A road trip may scare your pet if it's their first time. But if you do it right, like preparing a comfortable place for them to sit and look at the outdoors, providing snacks when their stomach is asking, or good talk and music will shorten the trip and even erase all the stress.
Imagine the window is down, the radio is playing you and your pet's favorite playlist, and you guys are singing out loud together. Valentine couldn't be more romantic.
5. Make New Friends
Valentine’s Day is kind of a good day to make new friends. If you and your pets are single, it is a good chance to socialize, and who knows you might meet your other half.
Hanging outdoors is, no matter what, always your pets’ most loved activity. Instead of locking inside the house another day, you guys can go to the park, walk around the neighborhood, go buy some groceries and meet new people. Sounds like a pretty nice plan for Valentine’s Day.
6. Have A Fancy Dinner Together
A romantic dinner is an indispensable part of celebrating Valentine’s Day. Pick the menu carefully, and cook them with your pets. You have all the rights to choose whatever dish you crave for and cook the best out of it.
Along with that, surprise your pets by making his favorite bowl, or new delicious treats. Then, you guys can enjoy the night deliciously.
7. Netflix and Cuddles
You and your four-legged friends can enjoy your meals while watching a movie or do it after dinner. Covering you and your pet under a lovely personalized blanket and watching a pet-friendly movie is happy enough to end Valentine's Day meaningfully.
Don’t forget to hug, cuddle, and snuggle your pets to let them know you are showing affection to them on that romantic day.
